National Productivity Centre Aligns Strategic Plan with President Tinubu’s 8-Priority Areas

March 21, 2024In a significant move towards enhancing productivity and efficiency in Nigeria’s public sector, the National Productivity Centre (NPC) and the AIG-Imokhuede Foundation have officially entered into a partnership. The momentous occasion took place on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, as the two entities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for collaboration and cooperation.
The primary objectives of this collaboration are twofold. Firstly, the partnership aims to elevate the managerial and operational knowledge, skills, and competencies of the Nigerian public sector through the utilization of cutting-edge Productivity Improvement Tools and Techniques. This strategic initiative is designed to bolster labour productivity in Nigeria through public sector leadership development programmes.
Secondly, the partnership intends to strengthen capacities for effective policy design and implementation, with a focus on enhancing economic growth and public sector service delivery. The agricultural, industrial, and service sectors have been earmarked as pilot areas for this effort.
Dignitaries present at the MOU signing ceremony included Dr. Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha, Director General of the National Productivity Centre, and Mrs. Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, Executive Vice-Chairperson of the AIG-Imokhuede Foundation. Also in attendance were Directors from the NPC and staff of the AIG-Imokhuede Foundation.
This landmark collaboration between the National Productivity Centre and the AIG-Imokhuede Foundation holds immense promise for driving sustainable growth, innovation, and effectiveness within Nigeria’s public sector.
