NPC COLLABORATES WITH JAPAN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AGENCY (JICA) TO DRIVE PRODUCTIVITY GROWTH IN ORGANIZATIONS

In actualizing the mandate of stimulating productivity consciousness and promoting socio-economic growth and development in Nigeria through productivity improvement, the Nationalp Productivity Centre (NPC) has collaborated with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to facilitate the deployment of kaizen, which is globally practiced by top tier firms and has proven to deliver efficient and effective operational systems, reduction/elimination of wastes and improved quality. kaizen will not only drive growth in organizations but also help them to expand by generating additional revenue and profits with the same level of capital, thereby creating additional job opportunities and development in Nigeria.

The one- day conference themed “Driving Overall Growth in Nigeria through Continuous Improvement: The Kaizen Approach” is being held today, Thursday, 13th February 2025, at the Rockview Hotel Royale, Wuse 2, Abuja.

Amongst the dignitaries present were the Hon Minister of Labour and Employment, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary FML&E, Salihu A. Usman, PhD, the Director-General, National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, who was accompanied by his team of directors, the Chief Representative of JICA, Nigeria Office, Yuzurio Susumu, Coordinator Kaizen NPC, Engr. Adejoh David, Ms. Sakura Ito JICA Nigeria Office, and the representative of the Managing Director/CEO, Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA), Orji Stephen.

Over 90 participants from different organizations like NIPRD, AEA, SMEDAN,NIPC, NASENI, NSITF, FML&E, NDE, NADDC e.t.c. attended the conference.
