NPC TRAINS 50 DIRECTORATE CADRE STAFF
The National Productivity Center (NPC) has carried out a two day specialized training of 50 members of staff of federal ministry of environment who are in the directorate cadre.
This training which held from July 29 to 30, 2019, had as its theme: “Green Productivity and Environmental protection for sustainable development”, at Valencia hotel, Abuja.
The Director-General of NPC, Dr. Kashim Akor, while delivering his welcome address, urged participants to see the training as an avenue to acquire necessary skills for effective service delivery.
Dr. Akor said: “This two days training is part of the many capacity building programmes and activities fashioned out by the Center to equip participant with in-depth knowledge that stimulate the will and capacity for improved productivity and higher performance.
He further said, the goal of the training was to expose participant to environmental management and development challenges through productivity improvement that would aid the enhancement of environmental protection and productivity at large.
The Director of Human Resource Management (HRM) Mr. Peter Daniang speaking on-behalf of the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Environment, Mrs. Ibukun Odusote, FNIM emphasized the importance of the training to the effectiveness of the directorate cadre.
The Director of Environmental Assessment, Federal Ministry of Environment, Mr. John Alonge, said the training would help in mitigating lapses. It is therefore hoped that this training has repositioned Directorate cadre member staff for master performance.
